Scala Powered Screen Communication Platform Transforms Customer Experience in 262 Movie Theatres of Cinemex

Cinemex, one of Mexico’s largest cinema chains, wanted to modernize its nationwide theatres and improve the guest experience while increasing revenue. To support this ambitious remodeling plan, Cinemex turned to Scala and its software-based screen communication platform to replace traditional static messaging with dynamic digital signage across ticket booths, candy stores, foyers, and lobby areas.

Scala implemented a multilocation digital communication solution with weekly content updates and centralized management for more than 4,000 42-inch displays across Cinemex locations in Mexico. The new system helped Cinemex showcase movies, trailers, promotions, and menu boards more effectively, reducing content update costs and significantly enhancing customer experience, loyalty, and revenue.
