Scala InfoChannel Takes Off at Santiago International Airport

Santiago International Airport, Chile’s main airport serving more than seven million passengers a year, needed to improve passenger information, modernize its infrastructure, and create new advertising revenue. Scala, using its InfoChannel digital signage platform, helped address these goals with a large-scale network that delivered real-time flight information and advertising across the airport.

Scala and its partner ViewMax implemented 281 Samsung plasma screens across six content channels, plus a strategic video wall for announcements and ads. The result was a robust, flexible system that improved the quality and visibility of information for passengers, while also generating sustained growth in advertising revenue; after two years, the airport reported highly positive feedback from both operators and passengers.
