Scala Drives Healthcare Info-Tvfor Danish Capital Region

Region Hovedstaden, the Danish capital region’s healthcare authority, needed a way to centralize and deliver consistent patient information across its hospitals and waiting rooms. It partnered with Scala to power its large-scale Info-TV digital signage network, which was designed to improve communication and enhance patient satisfaction across 20 medical facilities and more than 500 screens.

Scala implemented a centralized content management solution that let Region Hovedstaden schedule and manage content from the region, hospitals, and clinical departments across the entire network. The system now supports dynamic templates, video, images, and waiting-time updates, helping create a more welcoming environment for patients; while the impact isn’t measured separately, Region Hovedstaden expects Scala’s Info-TV to make a major contribution to overall patient satisfaction.
