Rabobank Attracting New Clientele with Modern Datacasting

Rabobank wanted a modern way to attract new customers to its local banks in the Netherlands without sacrificing credibility or profitability. Working with Scala and its InfoChannel® 3 platform, Rabobank looked for a digital signage/datacasting solution that could deliver short, targeted messages at bank branches and ATM locations while supporting both corporate standards and local content needs.

Scala implemented a centrally managed digital signage network with plasma screens in branches and beside ATMs, using templates and tools that let local banks customize content. The rollout expanded from 25 branches in 2002 to more than 200 by 2005, with screens growing from 20 to 390 and a projected 600+ in 2006. Rabobank reported 17.5 million ad-contacts per year, 70% minimum viewer reach, and a cost of just 2.4 cents per ad-contact, showing strong ROI and improved customer engagement.
