Opening the Digital Signage Shadesto Increase Retail Sales

Luxaflex, a Hunter Douglas company, wanted to redesign its retail loyalty concept and create a shop-in-shop experience that would better inspire customers, support dealers, and drive sales. In stores, staff struggled to keep up with the changing product range and to help shoppers visualize window coverings in their own homes. Scala, working with certified partner QYN, provided the digital signage and interactive kiosk platform used in Luxaflex Gallery and Inspiration shops.

Scala’s solution centered on a 32-inch touch-screen kiosk with dynamic signage, product search, product advice, energy-saving information, and the Imagine Studio visualization tool. The rollout of the Scala-powered concept went live in more than 300 shops within two years, helped increase dwell time and improve the shopping experience, and was credited with boosting sales and market uptake. Luxaflex also received the Golden Peacock Award for Best Shop-in-Shop concept.
