Norwegian Fire Station Service equips 50 locations with Scala digital signage

The Norwegian Fire Station Service faced the challenge of conveying rapidly changing, mission-critical information to frontline firefighters from multiple sources. They needed a real-time digital display system to replace a limited legacy solution, which was crucial for firefighter safety and effective emergency response. Partnering with Scala, they sought to design an integrated communication system that could collate and clearly present essential data.

Scala designed a bespoke content manager that integrated various real-time information sources, creating a network of digital screens for the fire stations. The solution was installed with no disruption to service, and 50 locations have been outfitted to date. This has resulted in firefighters feeling more informed and better prepared; in one instance, a team was able to identify a risk and direct appropriate action in seconds, which was not possible with the previous system.
