New Media is Born for In-store Advertising at Russian Ramstore Retail Network

Ramstore, a Russian retail chain of shopping centers, hypermarkets, and supermarkets, wanted to create a new in-store advertising and digital signage platform after two years of evaluating options. The challenge was to roll out engaging point-of-sale media across major locations in Russia, and Ramstore chose Scala InfoChannel® through integrator and investor Indoor Media TV (IMTV).

Scala’s InfoChannel platform, combined with Panasonic LCD screens and IMTV’s media network, delivered product information, video clips, promotions, and local news, sports, and weather content across high-traffic areas in stores. The deployment reached major cities such as Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and the first phase was expected to grow to 1,000 displays by Q2 2006, with an anticipated sales uplift of 30% from the point of sale.
