Mobile Digital Signage Network Enhances Customer Experience at Thoroughbred Auctions

Fasig-Tipton, North America’s oldest thoroughbred auction company, needed a better way to enhance the buyer experience at its auctions with real-time, horse-specific content across large, mobile event venues. The company wanted a solution that could travel to multiple auction locations, deliver live and on-demand video, and be set up quickly with minimal reconfiguration.

Scala was used to power the mobile digital signage network, with Hammond Communications Group implementing Scala Content Manager and Scala Player across more than 50 displays and kiosks. The result was a flexible, high-definition system that supported live workouts, auction updates, interactive touchscreen access, and multiple content feeds; the Scala-driven network has already been deployed at 13 auctions in five U.S. locations.
