A Scala Case Study
The Miele Inspirience Centre needed a more experiential way to market its wide range of appliances and to create a two-way communication system that could better understand visitors and deliver a more relevant in-store experience. Traditional marketing channels were not enough, so Miele partnered with Scala to help build a more personalized retail environment using digital signage and interactive technology.
Scala helped implement a solution that combined visitor registration, a real-time “decision engine,” Apple iPod Touch devices for personalized content, and indoor GPS tracking to tailor information and track visitor behavior throughout the store. The result was a multi-dimensional brand touchpoint that improved relevance, ambiance, and engagement, with measurable location tracking down to 50 cm and a richer experience designed to strengthen brand loyalty and drive future referrals and purchases.
