Keeping Students and Organizations Connected at Georgia College

Georgia College & State University wanted a better way to reach its 200+ student organizations and keep students aware of campus events, since email, Facebook and posters were easy to miss and costly to produce. The university turned to Scala and digital signage to create a more visible, cost-effective communication channel with a stronger “wow factor” for announcements and student engagement.

Scala implemented Bobcat Vision, a campus-wide digital signage network with multiple high-definition displays and web-based content management. With Scala, authorized users can update messages from anywhere, while administrators approve content as needed; the result was lower printing and recycling costs, reduced time spent creating posters, and improved student awareness and attendance at events, including stronger turnout for homecoming activities.
