Holzer Clinics’ Patients Treated to Hammond’s Digital Signage Network

Holzer Clinic, a multi-location healthcare provider in Southeast Ohio and West Virginia, needed a more efficient way to communicate with patients across its waiting areas while avoiding extra burden on staff. Working with Scala and Hammond Communications, the clinic sought a centrally managed digital signage system that could share both general and location-specific information, support patients with hearing or vision limitations, and help cross-promote services across its eight locations.

Scala, through Hammond Communications, implemented a pilot digital signage network using Scala InfoChannel software and “Holzer Clinic TV.” The three-zone display design combined live cable TV, clinic promotions, and scrolling text updates in waiting rooms, with content controlled from the marketing department. The solution expanded to more than 25 screens across nine locations, improved patient communication, and enabled Holzer Clinic to deliver clearer, more flexible messaging without adding staff workload.
