Future TV Journalist At College International Marie De France Are Honing Their Skills With Scala
College Marie de France, an international French school in Montreal, needed a better way to keep students and staff informed about school news and events. The school chose Scala and its InfoChannel digital signage platform to power a new high-definition internal TV network called SCOOP TV.
Scala, working with Tėlėcinė Multimedia, implemented SCOOP TV with multiple LCD screens connected to a single Scala InfoChannel player over CAT5, plus in-house templates and RSS news feeds. The result was fast, schoolwide content production that kept the community informed, engaged students and teachers, and helped students gain real TV-journalism experience; the school also planned to expand the system with additional channels for parents and events.
