Dynamic Digital Ticketing System Implemented at The Franklin Institute

The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia’s premier science museum, needed to replace cumbersome and costly static ticketing signs with a more flexible way to manage promotions, ticket prices, exhibit information, and visitor messaging. Working with Scala and its Certified Partner Applied Video Technology (AVT), the museum chose a digital ticketing solution for its entrance area.

Scala implemented a 5-screen full HD digital signage video wall powered by Scala software and a Scala Player, enabling The Franklin Institute to update pricing and promotional content quickly, schedule messages around events and exhibits, and create more eye-catching displays that reduce perceived wait time. The result was lower labor and material costs for printed signage, faster content updates, and a clearer, more engaging ticketing experience with tailored pricing and timely promotions.
