A Scala Case Study
Tommy Hilfiger wanted to pilot in-store digital innovations at its flagship store in Düsseldorf to create a more engaging shopping experience for customers and passersby. The brand needed a flexible digital signage approach that could support window displays, wayfinding, live content, and interactive communication across its newly expanded 1,822-square-meter store. Scala was selected as the partner for the digital signage integration, using Scala’s Content Manager system and Scala Fling.
Scala implemented a range of solutions, including large and small video walls, motion-triggered window content, in-store wayfinding, and live feeds from weather, social media, and music playing in the store. The system helped create a more dynamic and immersive retail environment, improved interaction between staff and customers, and is now being used as a pilot for future store concepts. Tommy Hilfiger reported strong satisfaction with the new look and feel, and Scala’s solution was positioned as a proof of concept to guide future digital strategy.
