A Scala Case Study
Colruyt Group, the Belgian supermarket leader with more than 200 stores, wanted a more dynamic, flexible, and eco-friendly way to communicate with shoppers. Its challenge was to replace posters and leaflets with a centralized digital channel that would fit busy checkout areas and other store locations while still supporting efficient, cost-conscious customer communication.
Scala helped Colruyt Group implement a large digital signage network using energy-efficient screens, including checkout displays, department screens, a frozen-food touchscreen, and QR-code recipe access. With Scala software, Colruyt Group could manage content centrally across the network, and the rollout was completed quickly and efficiently; the project also reduced printing and distribution costs and lowered the company’s carbon footprint.
