A Scala Case Study
Burger King Deutschland wanted to turn its restaurants into a more engaging multimedia experience, but needed a way to deliver dynamic menu information, promotions, and entertainment across a growing network of locations. Using Scala’s InfoChannel digital signage platform as part of a broader solution, Burger King connected plasma displays and its proprietary “King Channel” TV network to improve customer communication and in-store appeal.
Scala helped power a centralized, flexible system that could update menu boards and broadcast content across the network within minutes. The solution was installed in over 370 restaurants in just three months and expanded to more than 660 installations at 400 sites in Germany by June 2004, giving Burger King faster content management, stronger branding, and improved customer service.
