Be Digital launches TehTarik.TV channel in popular mamak restaurants across Malaysia’s Klang Valley

TehTarik.TV, a digital signage network launched by Be Digital for mamak restaurants across Malaysia’s Klang Valley, needed a way to deliver engaging content across more than 12 restaurant chains and 40+ locations without repeating the same broadcasts or sending the wrong menu to the wrong outlet. The customer used Scala as the content platform for a network of 32”–42” branded screens, alongside web, mobile, SMS, and a portal to make the experience more interactive and community-driven.

Scala helped Be Digital build a highly flexible content system with Scala Content Manager, including master playlists, nested sub-playlists, and scheduling rules for different chains and outlets. The result was faster operations, with hours saved each week, more targeted content, and a channel that runs about 18 hours a day with at least 70 loops, while also improving ad value and allowing restaurant menu updates to be changed instantly.
