Argos, the UK retail giant, wanted to modernise its catalogue-based stores and create a more interactive in-store experience that matched its strong online business. Working with Scala and systems integrator Pixel Inspiration, Argos needed a way to move from print catalogues to dynamic, data-driven digital signage while keeping pricing, promotions, and stock information accurate in real time.

Scala’s digital signage platform, including Scala Content Manager and Scala Player, was implemented across seven UK stores to power screens, videowalls, tablet product browsers, and social media feeds. The solution enabled live pricing and stock-based promotions, store-wide content takeovers, and flexible branding at collection points, helping Argos deliver a more consistent online-to-store experience and support rollout to more locations.
