Case Study: Kayu Nasi Kandar Restaurant achieves engaging in-house digital signage with Scala

A Taste of Digital Signage at Kayu Nasi Kandar

Kayu Nasi Kandar Restaurant wanted to modernize its outlet experience and create a new way to share menu updates, promotions, and messages with customers while also opening up a new advertising channel. To do this, the restaurant adopted Scala InfoChannel for its customized in-house digital signage network, called the Kayu Channel.

Scala implemented the solution using InfoChannel Designer 3 to create content and an InfoChannel Player to display it across five plasma screens in the Petaling Jaya outlet. The channel delivered dynamic information and advertising, generated additional revenue from ad space and classified-style postings, and later expanded to three locations: Petaling Jaya, Aman Suria, and Kota Tinggi.
