400 Screen Scala powered Digital Communication Network raises Sales at Slovenian Petrol Stations

a leading Slovenian energy company, Petrol, sought to optimize income and enhance services across its extensive network of over 300 service stations. Their challenge was to create a digital communication network that could promote products and serve as an advertising channel, all while integrating with their specific cash register system. To meet these goals, they chose to implement a digital signage solution from vendor Scala, selected for its flexibility.

The solution, implemented by Scala partner TL 2011, involved installing a 400-screen network powered by Scala software at 30 stations. Screens at the pumps, in the store, and at the cash registers displayed targeted advertisements and integrated directly with the cash register to show purchased items and additional product information. This digital communication network, delivered by Scala, resulted in a significant increase in sales for advertised products, prompting Petrol to roll out the solution to more stations.
