400 Screen Scala Powered Digital Communication Network Raises Sales At Slovenian Petrol Stations

Petrol, a leading Slovenian energy company, sought to optimize its income potential and enhance customer service at its large network of service stations. The challenge was to create a digital communication network that could promote products in its stores and serve as an advertising channel for its vendors, all while integrating with its specific cash register system. Partnering with vendor Scala, they implemented a digital signage solution to address these goals.

The solution, implemented by Scala partner TL 2011, involved installing 400 Scala-powered screens at gas pumps, inside stores, and at cash registers. The system was fully integrated with Petrol's cash register, displaying advertisements and dynamic purchase information. This Scala-driven network resulted in a significant increase in sales for the advertised products, leading to a continued roll-out of the digital signage formula across Petrol's domestic and international stations.
