Orchardville launches iOS and Android app with Scaffold Digital

The Orchardville Society, an organization supporting people with disabilities and autism, faced a significant challenge in communicating news and events to both their service users and staff, a problem exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Their previous methods, including a website and a group email inbox, were not effectively reaching their mobile-reliant community and deskless staff. They engaged vendor Scaffold Digital to design and develop a bespoke mobile app and content management system to address this.

Scaffold Digital developed and released a bespoke Ionic mobile app for iOS and Android, supported by a Laravel-based content management system. The solution allows Orchardville to create and manage public and private news content, sending targeted notifications directly to users' mobile devices. This provided service users with vital mobile access to information and enabled staff to receive updates efficiently from anywhere, significantly improving the organization's communication reach and effectiveness.
