Habersham Electric Membership Corporation, a cooperative utility in Georgia, faced reliability challenges due to its mountainous and heavily forested terrain, leading to frequent outages from animals and falling trees. To improve resilience and reduce downtime for its 28,000+ members, HEMC launched a grid modernization plan and partnered with S&C Electric Company, utilizing their IntelliRupter fault interrupters and TripSaver II reclosers.
