U.S. Army Corps of Engineers launches 3 hydrographic survey vessels on time with S&B

S&B provided integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), which required three advanced hydrographic survey vessels. The client needed high-performance catamarans capable of conducting sophisticated sonar surveys in marine environments.

The solution delivered by S&B subsidiary TAI comprised three foil-assisted catamarans designed for speeds over 38 knots. These vessels were equipped with specialized sonar systems and accommodations for the crew. S&B successfully completed the project on schedule and on budget, with the first vessel being recognized as one of the top 10 significant boats of the year by WorkBoat Magazine.
