Seaboard Energy converts ethanol facility to 6,500 BPD renewable diesel with S&B

S&B provided engineering and construction services to Seaboard Energy, which faced the challenge of converting an existing ethanol facility in Hugoton, Kansas to produce renewable diesel. The goal was to shift production to utilize beef tallow and distiller's corn oil as feedstock.

The solution involved S&B acting as the primary engineering team for the EPC contractor, performing FEL, detailed design, and construction support for the project. This conversion enabled the facility to produce 6,500 barrels per day of renewable diesel. S&B's involvement spanned all phases, including overseeing the technical management of other engineering companies on the project.
