Plains All American Pipeline advances a 325-MDWT terminal project with S&B

S&B was hired by Plains All American Pipeline to perform front-end loading and EPCM services for a new, state-of-the-art deep water terminal in Los Angeles. The challenge was to create a facility capable of accommodating very large crude carriers and efficiently offloading crude oil into a new distribution system and significant storage capacity.

The solution involved S&B providing integrated EPC services for the marine terminal, including its tie-in to multiple pipelines and related infrastructure. However, the project was canceled by Plains All American Pipeline near the completion of the detailed design phase, so no final results or operational impacts were realized.
