Intermountain Power Agency powers 840-MW hydrogen-ready plant with S&B
The Intermountain Power Agency required a supply of green hydrogen for its new hydrogen-capable power plant. To meet this need, S&B was engaged by ACES Delta to provide Owner’s Engineering services for a pioneering energy storage hub.
S&B assisted in the development of a facility that uses 220 MW of electrolyzers to produce 100 tons of green hydrogen per day, which is then stored in two massive salt caverns. This solution, implemented by S&B, creates a major storage hub that supplies clean fuel to the Intermountain Power Agency, supporting the transition to cleaner energy sources.
