Enterprise Products builds a 750 KTA propane dehydrogenation plant with S&B
Enterprise Products needed to build a new, large-scale propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant to produce polymer-grade propylene. They selected S&B to provide integrated Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for this major grassroots facility.
S&B executed the EPC work for the 750 KTA plant, which utilized UOP technology. The solution featured the complex installation of a large C3 splitter column and included a modularized reactor section, significant compression equipment, and multiple fired heaters. As a result, S&B delivered one of the few PDH plants operating in the USA, reinforcing their market leadership in this specific project type.
