Case Study: Intermountain Healthcare achieves centralized identity management and stronger access controls with Saviynt

When Intermountain Health asked for an intelligent, adaptive, and modern approach to identity management and data security, Saviynt delivered

Intermountain Healthcare, a not-for-profit health system serving nearly 40,000 caregivers across hospitals, clinics and telehealth services, needed a modern, adaptive identity management approach to handle fluid roles (billing admins, student workers, outside providers), increasing audit scrutiny, and the need to know device and location context while preserving a seamless user experience. To meet these challenges they engaged Saviynt and adopted Saviynt’s Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform.

Saviynt implemented a centralized identity repository with fine‑grained access controls (including Segregation of Duty evaluation), improved access review and attestation processes, consolidation of authoritative identity sources, dynamic-based access, and cloud/hosted service access control. As a result, Saviynt enabled Intermountain Healthcare to strengthen audit readiness, reduce access risk, and maintain secure, seamless provider workflows through more precise, context-aware identity and access governance.
