The University of Western Australia Finds Power and Simplicity in the Cloud

The University of Western Australia, a leading research university serving more than 28,000 students and about 10,000 employees, faced a fragmented, siloed identity environment that made centralized governance, rapid provisioning, and secure access difficult. To simplify access, improve compliance, and scale identity management across campuses and research partners, The University of Western Australia selected Saviynt’s Identity Cloud.

Saviynt integrated multiple Active Directory services and the university’s finance, HR and student systems into the Saviynt Identity Cloud, detecting duplicate accounts and risky privilege combinations (SoD), and automating provisioning/deprovisioning. The deployment gave unified visibility across roughly 40,000 identities, enabled access certification and RBAC/PAM initiatives, reduced compliance risk and administrative overhead, cut redundant license costs, and lowered service‑desk demand — all delivered by Saviynt.
