ENGIE IT, the IT subsidiary of ENGIE SA, needed to simplify a highly customized and aging identity and access management environment that relied on two legacy IAM tools more than 10 years old. The company wanted a single, cloud-first identity solution to improve security, simplify SAP access management, and provide better audit traceability across its global operations. ENGIE selected Saviynt to replace its legacy IAM stack and support its cloud strategy.
With Saviynt’s cloud-based identity governance platform, ENGIE IT centralized access management for SAP and other key systems, integrated with SAP, AD, ServiceNow, and APIs, and automated account creation and authorization workflows. The result was stronger visibility, easier compliance, and faster access approvals, including SAP access being granted in about 10 minutes. ENGIE also reported immediate savings of more than $500K from its IGA transformation, while securing 40,000 employees at the group level.
