KidClot, a program at Stollery Children’s Hospital, needed a better way to educate children, adolescents, and young adults at risk for blood clots about anticoagulants and INR management. SAVIAN was brought in to replace time-consuming, hard-to-understand in-person training with a more engaging educational experience, since the existing materials were linear and patients often struggled to grasp the concepts.

SAVIAN created a new brand, website, and animated educational video series using character development, scriptwriting, illustration, animation, and voice work. The result was a funny, engaging learning system that reduced the burden on staff and drew international attention; hospitals and clinics worldwide have shown interest in adopting it, and an ongoing study has so far exceeded expectations with near-perfect scores across all measures.
