Case Study: Interventional Radiology Procedures streamlines medical article publishing with SAVIAN

A SAVIAN Case Study

Preview of the Interventional Radiology Procedures Case Study

A curated publishing platform for doctors and physicians

Interventional Radiology Procedures, a program developed by doctors and physicians at the University of Alberta, needed a better way to manage its medical publishing workflow. Before working with SAVIAN, the team relied on MS Word templates, manual document tracking, and a web developer to publish approved articles, which made the process slow, cumbersome, and difficult to scale. Their existing website was also too limited to attract and support more contributors.

SAVIAN built a custom web application and a redesigned front end to automate the full publishing process, including author invitations, template creation, article writing, review, publication, and expiry-based reminders for article updates. The new platform improved readability, navigation, and overall usability, helping generate interest from doctors and physicians worldwide and making it easier for the team to recruit authors and reviewers, though no specific quantitative metrics were provided.
