A Savanta Case Study
The University of Leeds sought to understand public awareness and adherence to COVID-19 messaging. They commissioned Savanta ComRes to conduct longitudinal polling to explore how people received and acted upon pandemic communications and to segment the public based on their values and attitudes. The main challenges were ensuring a robust, representative sample and providing timely, flexible results as government guidelines changed.
Savanta implemented a solution of 10 waves of polling, collecting a total sample of 10,000 nationally representative UK adults. Their approach included tracked questions over time and the flexibility to add new questions each wave. The outcome was that the university used Savanta's research and analysis to write reports on segment behaviours and to set out future recommendations for improving government communication strategies.
