A Savanta Case Study
Savanta was engaged by a UK top five grocery retailer to investigate how the cost-of-living crisis was impacting the health and sustainability of its customers' shopping habits. The client's key challenge was to understand the gap between shoppers' claimed behaviors and their actual purchasing, known as the 'say/do gap'.
Savanta's solution combined attitudinal survey data with actual transaction data from the retailer's loyalty card program. Through advanced analytics, they identified three key shopper groups and developed behavioral science principles for targeting them. This work provided the client with clear areas of focus for future health and sustainability interventions and delivered actionable insights for the broader retail sector.
