Valley Children’s Healthcare & Hospital, a large nonprofit children’s hospital, was looking to reduce long wait times, improve the patient registration process, and strengthen handoff communication across departments. They worked with Savance Health and began with a patient check-in kiosk initiative that expanded into a fuller patient tracking approach using Savance Health’s Patient Self Check-In, Patient Tracking & Flow, and Waiting Room Display solutions.
Savance Health customized check-in stations for each department, added touchscreen computers and privacy filters, and connected check-in data to patient tracking to better monitor flow throughout the visit. The result was an average 15-minute reduction in wait times, a 4-minute improvement in registration time, and a 20-minute reduction in overall visit length, along with noticeable gains in patient satisfaction and overall communication.
