Staff Tracking Solution for Community Service Organization

Sumas First Nation, a community services organization in Abbotsford, BC with 35 employees (about 25 working in the community most days), needed a reliable way to track staff whereabouts and availability instead of an inaccurate manual sign‑in sheet. They selected Savance EIOBoard and its Access Control and Staff Tracking solutions to provide an electronic in–out board and controlled facility access.

Savance EIOBoard deployed touch‑screen kiosks, desktop status updates and proximity card/fingerprint readers to record real‑time employee locations, restrict building entry, and customize receptionist workflows. Since the 2011 installation, Savance EIOBoard has delivered measurable improvements in communication, accountability and customer service—receptionists can instantly see staff availability across two buildings, improving security and responsiveness to community members.
