Improved Staff Tracking Keeps School District Tech Support Run Smoothly

Judson Independent School District, a large PreK–12 district in San Antonio, faced a real-time staff-location problem: a largely mobile IT workforce (about 100 technicians supporting 28 campuses) was relying on paper logbooks that couldn’t track people during the day. To solve this, Judson turned to Savance EIOBoard and implemented its Staff Tracking solution (plus the EIOBoard Outlook Add-In, mobile apps and check-in kiosks).

Savance EIOBoard deployed Outlook integration, mobile access, prox-card kiosks and touch-screen check-in stations so technicians and staff can update status from anywhere. Since the 2012 rollout the system serves over 100 employees, giving receptionists and managers instant visibility of technician locations, reducing unnecessary travel, speeding call routing, improving customer service and even supporting timekeeping — measurable gains in productivity and communication across the district.
