A Savance EIOBoard Case Study
Johnson County Sheriff Department, KS, a forensic science laboratory that expanded rapidly and moved into a 62,500 sq. ft. facility with nine distinct lab spaces, needed a better way to find and track staff than the old magnetic board. They engaged Savance EIOBoard and implemented its suite including Access Control Plus, Electronic Whiteboard, Emergency Mustering, and Staff Tracking to replace manual sign-in and improve staff status visibility.
Savance EIOBoard deployed prox card readers, touch‑screen kiosks (including 42" and 46" displays), door‑mount PCs/modules, the EIOBoard Outlook add‑in with presence sensing, mobile access, and an Emergency Mustering/offline mustering solution; they also configured print grid reporting. Within six months the system was integral to daily operations, delivering instant location detection, faster communications, improved emergency preparedness and reduced wait times — with roughly 95% of staff using the Outlook interface and a majority using the mobile client daily.
