Electrical Company Improves Employee Tracking with EIOBoard

Barth Electric Company, a family-held electrical contractor in Indiana with about 330 employees (roughly 75% field electricians), struggled with a low-tech sign-out sheet system for tracking office staff. Seeking a more efficient in/out board solution, Barth selected Savance EIOBoard and began using its Staff Tracking functionality (with the Outlook Add-in) to replace manual logs and improve visibility of employee whereabouts.

Savance EIOBoard was installed and customized by department, providing color-coded, real-time status updates, a mobile interface for field personnel, and reporting and alert features like My Friends. The result: faster, easier reporting and at-a-glance availability that improved internal and external communications, customer call handling, and overall productivity; the system has been in regular use since 2003, with dedicated monitors and large displays now deployed so staff can immediately see coworkers’ statuses.
