Virtru, a Washington D.C.–based data encryption and privacy company serving more than 5,000 organizations, needed to ensure its easy-to-use protections worked seamlessly with many third-party platforms. As the company grew from a startup with limited resources, platform changes sometimes caused customer-facing failures, so Virtru sought a scalable testing partner to run continuous tests across beta and early-release environments and support mobile and expanded integrations.

Virtru partnered with Sauce Labs to run continuous, cross-platform testing across development, staging, and production—scaling from 10 to 50 VMs and expanding platform coverage from 2 to 14 (a 600% increase). Daily tests grew from ~100 to ~6,000, which reduced test times, shortened release cycles, caught regressions earlier, boosted developer productivity, and allowed site reliability teams to focus on core services, improving the overall customer experience.
