Lookout, a mobile security company protecting millions of users, needed to expand automated browser testing but didn’t want the cost or overhead of building and maintaining an internal Selenium Grid. With limited prior browser automation and frequent, tight release windows (sometimes targeting deployments within three hours), they required a cost-effective, reliable way to increase test coverage and speed.

Lookout adopted Sauce Labs and Sauce Connect to run Jasmine and Selenium tests in the cloud, integrated results into Jenkins, and parallelized runs on demand. The move eliminated in-house infrastructure overhead, cut test time and costs, improved reliability and scalability, and gave developers screenshots, videos, and logs to reproduce and fix issues faster.
