University of Missouri primes students for marketing analytics careers

The Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business at the University of Missouri faced a growing market demand for SAS analytics skills and needed to make statistical software accessible to faculty, staff and students, help users become self‑sufficient, and ensure graduates could convert analytics training into jobs. The challenge was to provide enterprise‑grade tools and practical training that aligned with employer needs across industries, including Fortune 100 companies and government agencies.

The college adopted SAS Business Analytics, rolled out an intensive eight‑day SAS Certification program and added MBA‑level analytics courses designed with input from industry. The program now supports more than 1,700 users, enables professors to teach SAS directly in their classes, boosts student employability (graduates using SAS in full‑time roles), and helps supply Missouri employers with analytics‑ready MBAs, supporting regional economic development.
