UniCredit Business Partner (UCBP) was created in 2009 as UniCredit Group’s international back‑office subsidiary, bringing together about 7,000 professionals across multiple European countries to standardize support activities and capture economies of scale. UCBP faced the challenge of managing a uniform flow of complex financial and operational information, coordinating decentralized processes, and sharing best practices across different nations and organizational structures.

UCBP implemented SAS Financial Management to integrate new and existing applications into a single, scalable repository through a three‑phase rollout—centralized data collection, processing and country summaries, and direct country access to shared data. The solution established a common operational vocabulary, improved interdepartmental communication (notably between finance and HR), and provided managers with richer, standardized analyses and the flexibility to evolve reporting as the business grows.
