SAS gives users fast access to data through self-service analytics

The University of Central Florida (UCF), through its Office of Institutional Knowledge Management, needed to move beyond static reports to give campus stakeholders fast, visual, self-service access to institutional data to support decision-making and strategic initiatives such as Challenge 2020. Users across colleges and administrative units wanted customized, easy-to-explore analytics rather than tables and manual data collection.

UCF implemented SAS Visual Analytics to deliver unit-specific dashboards and self-service reporting, cutting time spent gathering data and enabling deans and offices to track goals, aggregate undergraduate research and mentoring data, and spot new trends—such as unexpected attrition among high‑GPA students. The result is faster, data-informed decisions, improved initiative tracking, and a stronger foundation for targeted interventions to boost student success.
