A SAS Case Study
Rabobank, a global financial services group serving over 10 million customers, tasked John Lambrechts with implementing chain management to speed decision making and improve alignment across departments, business units and local branches. The bank faced an enormous volume of disparate data and needed a single system to integrate, structure and share chain information so managers could gain timely, actionable insights.
Working with partner Finext, Rabobank developed new cost and chain models and implemented SAS Visual Analytics, alongside a new data‑scientist role for chain specialists to probe relationships and causes. The result is a centralized, transparent view of chain activity that has increased managers’ use of chain information, removed siloed decision-making, and enabled more dynamic, targeted optimization of chain performance within a controlled rollout.
