A SAS Case Study
Pôle emploi, France’s national employment agency that administers about €30 billion in benefits and supports nearly 4 million job seekers through 921 local agencies and 53,000 caseworkers, faced a dual challenge: deliver equal but locally customized support while giving caseworkers more autonomy — without sacrificing consistency, quality or the ability to detect fraud and manage risk.
Pôle emploi implemented SAS® Risk Management to build LIS@, an integrated platform that consolidated more than 10 legacy applications into a single risk and control framework with automated control plans, personalized dashboards and targeted analytics. Today 4,000 caseworkers and 2,000 managers use LIS@ to cut production time by an estimated 10–20%, reduce internal tests (from 550,000 to 400,000), focus controls on high-impact risks, speed remediation and enable mini‑audits and real‑time incident analysis — improving reliability and allowing more tailored pathways back to employment.
