A SAS Case Study
The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce recognized a growing gap between industry demand for analytics talent and the skills produced by traditional university programs. With data-science roles among the hardest to fill, the school needed a curriculum that prepared students to tackle messy, real-world data problems and communicate insights to business leaders.
To close that gap the college partnered with SAS to build four SAS-powered analytics courses, invite corporate partners onto its advisory board, require students to compete in the SAS Analytics Shootout, and expand offerings like the STEM Path to MBA and international exchanges. The outcome: strong employer connections, rapid program growth, and graduates who land high-paying roles at top companies—with the program reporting 100% job placement for its analytics students.
