Navistar, a leading manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, defense vehicles and engines, wanted to improve employee retention, streamline supply chain decisions and better balance sales territories. To support its “driven by uptime” mission, the company turned to SAS Office Analytics to help its teams make data-driven decisions across HR, operations and sales.
Using SAS, Navistar built predictive models for talent retention, optimized plant lead times and capacity, and created more equitable dealer territories for sales managers. The solution helped improve employee loyalty, reduce supply chain costs and missed deliveries, and better align dealers across 30 sales managers serving about 4,000 dealers, supporting stronger overall business performance.
