Case Study: Agria achieves faster detection of pet health issues and automated breed reporting with SAS Visual Analytics

A SAS Case Study

Preview of the Agria Case Study

Agria uses SAS® to provide better care for pets and peace of mind for their owners

Agria Djurförsäkring is a Swedish insurer specializing in health, life and liability coverage for pets and farm animals across six countries, serving about 1 million customers and holding 60% market share in Sweden. Faced with hundreds of gigabytes of claims and operational data and the need to deliver detailed, timely insights to pricing, product and field teams—as well as to breeders and veterinarians—Agria needed a more sophisticated, self‑service analytics capability to replace slow, consultant‑driven reporting.

Using SAS Studio and SAS Visual Analytics (and planning SAS Viya), Agria automated breed‑level health reports, enabled more than 50 internal users to run granular analyses on demand, and cut report production time from as long as two months to instant, configurable outputs. The result is faster pricing and risk insight, wider use of analytics across the organization, and actionable health statistics shared with researchers and breeders to promote better animal welfare.
